HOW TO GET TO THE ORCHARD PROJECT

TRAVEL OPTIONS
BUS (most recommended)
• Operated by Adirondack Trailways.
• Direct bus from Port Authority to Hunter, NY.
• The Orchard Project will provide free transportation between the Hunter, NY bus depot and the Orchard Project residencies.
• The one-way adult fare to Hunter is $33. The round-trip adult fare is $66.

• Tickets may be purchased by phone using either MasterCard, VISA or Discover, a minimum of 10 days prior to travel or in person at Port Authority Bus Terminal. Call 1-800-858-8555 to purchase or for more information.

• Departs from the Port Authority Bus Terminal at 41st & 8th Ave. in New York City to Hunter, NY. In Hunter the agency is located at the Country Store & Kitchen, Route 23A.

BUS to KINGSTON, NY
• Located 45 minutes from Hunter, the city of Kingston provides more frequent buses to/from Port Authority.
• You are responsible for making arranging travel to/from Kingston and Hunter, NY. Taxi service is recommended.

• Cost roundtrip: $43.00. One way: $21.50.

CAR
• Driving time from NYC: approx. 2 ½ hours.
• If driving from points other than New York City and the south, please contact me directly for directions.
• From New York City:
o George Washington Bridge to Palisades North.
o Exit 9W to route 87 North towards Albany.
o Take 87North to exit 20 – Saugerties.
o Left onto 212, slight right to route 32. Drive 6 miles
o Left onto 32A. Drive 1.8 miles
o Slight left onto 23A. Drive approx 11.5 miles.
o Stay on 23A through Tannersville and into Hunter.
o Hunter Village Square is the new building on the right across from the movie theatre.


AIR
• 1 hour from Albany Airport
• 1 hour from Stewart Airport
o If arriving into one of these airports please contact us for driving directions or please contact the recommended taxi service to arrange ground transportation from the airport
• 3 hours from Laguardia or JFK; best NY airport to arrive into is Newark, however - you can take a bus from Newark straight to Port Authority and switch easily to the bus to Hunter.

• AMTRAK. Train to Hudson, NY
• Cost: Approx. $29-$44 each way depending on departure time. As prices may change, please contact Amtrak for up-to-date pricing.
• 45 minutes from Hunter.
